How to make hip hop birthday cake

Bring the beat to your birthday with this DIY hip-hop cake tutorial! From a custom album cover to edible gold chains, we’ll show you how to create a cake that’s fresh, fly, and ready to party. Perfect for hip-hop fans of all ages!

Step 1: Order custom edible cake topper

The first step to this is editing this file in Canva. Upload the photo to Canva that you wish to use, and remove the background before placing in frame. Make sure to change the name at the top and under the song title. For the length of the song, I put the age so make sure to change that too!

Now order your cake topper from Amazon. For a 1/4 sheet cake I ordered the 8.5x11 size.

Step 2: Order molds, spray & fondant

Here is the link to the fondant I used. The mold I used is only sold in Michaels stores because it's going out of stock. But Amazon has these ones that look great! If you want also have cupcakes, I used this mold to make candy music note toppers. Michaels has the salted caramel melts I used. Lastly, make sure to get some edible spray shimmer so they look shiny. This one would work too!

Step 3: Order 1/4 sheet cake

I just went to my local bakery at the grocery store and asked them to make a 1/4 sheet cake with white pipping on the top and bottom. They were totally fine with adding the topper for me!

Step 4: Make fondant and candy

Here is a video on how I made the fondant and candy cupcake toppers:

Hope your party is too legit to quit!
