Ideas to make your Jarty an unforgettable night!

Jean themed parties (a Jarty) are supposed to be very popular this year according to Evite. So of course I had to create one. Last month my friends and I celebrated our birthdays together with a live concert and casino games then decorated with denim and diamonds!

Decorations:

Denim and all things shiny are what decorations for this party are made of. Let's start with the backdrop. For this I used denim fabric as well as some old jeans I purchased at a local thrift store. Cut them in about 1.5 inch strips and try to make them as long as possible.

Then tie one end to a backdrop stand, tension rod or curtain rod you already have installed.

If your doing diamonds, you can add these crystal garlands to give some shimmer. I felt like it needed a little something more so I attached this "Let's Party" light up sign and it was perfect! Here is a video of how you can make your own.

One of my favorite decorations of the night was the Denim Bar I created. There was left over denim pockets from the backdrop so made a sign out of them! Here is a video of making it.

Other items I added were the disco letters to spell BAR and disco cowboy hat from Michaels. They also had a disco cowboy boot but since I hat some bling ones of my own, I just added those to the self.

If you have a bucket or crate fill it with jeans and leave parts of them spilling out. Add any books or items that are dark/dusty blue in color. Lastly, I attached a silver fringe banner to give some more bling!

Not pictured is the the bar top which was was lined with a denim table runner.

Another decoration I incorporated were these diamond shaped balloons.

Food & Drink:

We catered Mexican food for dinner but my favorite food of the night was our desserts. Our friend's sweet daughter makes the most amazing desserts so I ordered some denim themed ones.

The decor for the dessert table was dusty blue cheesecloth table runner, diamond scatters, and silver spray painted poker chips (to tie in the casino theme). The diamond cut napkins were a hit!

signature drinks for denim party or jarty

Can't have a bar without some signature drinks that go along with the theme right? The signature drinks I chose were Skinny Jeans and Vintage Denim.

For the Skinny Jeans (a recipe by Grey Goose) we added a blue diamond made from with water, Blue Curacao like this and added blue shimmer sugar. Here is the link to the diamond ice cube mold. Also, this is the basil syrup we used. If you want to see a video on how to make it, you can check it out on my Youtube Channel.

Vintage Denim was really a recipe similar to an Old Fashioned made with Indigo Gin. You can find the recipe here. I loved the blue color it gave the drink.

The best part of the signature drinks was the diamond shaped coupe glasses myself and the other birthday girl used for the night.

If you would like to use the same sign you can download it here

Entertainment:

We had a live musician come play for our party. My husband and friend bid on a private concert at a fundraiser so we scheduled him to be at our birthday party. Noe Palma was perfect for the denim night as one of his songs is titled, "Blue Jean Baby".

We love casino games but some of our friends have never played so what better way for them to learn than in a low stress environment. We rented casino games and hired dealers for our poker, blackjack and craps tables. Everyone loved it! Just check out your local rental business for book. Ours had the tables and also the dealers so it was so easy to coordinate.

Hope you have so much fun celebrating at your Jarty!
