Football season is upon us! It's time to start planning decor and food ideas for you game day parties.
Let's start with decorations:
If you're a Travis Kelce fan then this Taylor Swift inspired bracelet banner is a must. Just head over to my blog where I have detailed information on how to make your own:
Another DIY is this table runner. Super easy to make and looks great. All you need is butcher/craft paper roll, tape and a sharpie!
Here are some other decorations I have used and loved:
I have this platter and love it because it can also be used as a decoration!
I think these would be amazing as a reusable decoration! You can find them on Etsy.
Or if you have any towels from past games you can display them like I do!
Food Ideas:
Before we get to the desserts, this football shaped cheese ball is my favorite appetizer! Get the recipe here at simplyjoy.com
Last year I made golden Oreo football shaped truffles and they always a huge hit! Here are instructions on how to make them on my blog:
If you're looking for an easier dessert you can make these rice krispie treats I made for this year's superbowl. All you need is premade rice krispies, almond bark and these sprinkles. Check out my video here for a step by step how to: https://youtube.com/shorts/BtsxlbF5akk?si=raPvUJhP3s5HJNjK
I've also made a Travis and Taylor themed dessert charcuterie board. The key to this is using items that are red, yellow and also represent Taylor Swift. For Taylor, I added candy bracelets and used edible marker to write on the "beads". Then, gummy snakes and wax lips. Don't forget the wax mustache for El Travador! Watch my youtube video here to see everything I used:
For drinks I made this Chiefs Kingdom Cocktail. The great thing is that it can be made as a mocktail for the underage guests. If you want to add the buzz button (it makes your mouth numb so it's kinda fun), you can order some on Amazon.
To make the football ice cubes, I used this mold from Amazon. You could also use these KC Chiefs molds, they would look amazing on top of this cocktail!
The great thing is they are freeze dried and can be used all season. Here is my video on how to make it:
Entertainment:
Lastly, if you need some entertainment for the kids who do not want to watch you can set up a bracelet making table like the one I made for the superbowl. This is one of the kits I purchased for it. It was so fun!
