I absolutely love to make charcuterie boards for events. They are so easy. Just to let you in on a little secret, I am not a chef at all. Actually, my motto is, “I only cook to keep my family alive”. Therefore, these boards are right up my alley. Big or small, they are always a hit.

Here are a few tips I have learned while making these beautiful creations:

FOOD: Cheese, meats, fruit, nuts, chocolates, crackers, crostinis, dried fruits, breadsticks, veggies, honey, jams, pesto and maybe some small desserts.

Use small bowls for items like pickles and olives. (You don’t want these leaving juices all over your

crackers or other items).

LAYOUT: As seen in the pictures at the top, when all the food is close together it looks so much more

appealing. As well as adding some raised dishes or plates.

Don't forget cheese markers. These markers are great so guests can see which flavors they are trying.

Display: Use a board(s) or buy a roll of butcher paper. The paper is one of my favorite ways to display food. Once your done, just ball up the paper and toss! No cleaning needed!

Dessert boards are also so much fun and appealing to the eye! Here is a photo of one I recently did for Christmas.

If you don’t have a board yet here is one that is so cool! This board here has knives, forks, and a carved out area for crackers which is pretty awesome. These make great gifts too!

Have fun and be creative making your charcuterie board! I would love to hear how it goes.
