Last year my art loving daughter graduated high school. I will share a few decor items I used and some that I have found on the internet.
Sign ideas:
Since my daughter is more of a sketch/digital artist (she never leaves the house without a sketchbook), I made signs out of small spiral sketchbooks and added stickers for the letters. Ribbon was used to string the books together and attach to the curtain. I also made a sign for the card box by doing the same thing.
Another fun way to make a sign for a paint artist is with canvases. Paint the canvas with watercolor and add adhesive letters.
You can also print watercolor signs like above and frame them to create a more elegant touch. For the color choice you can use the main color of the school they will attending or attended, favorite color of the grad or just a bunch of different colors.
I am in love with this custom watercolor graduation sign from Etsy. It's the perfect touch for a feminine artist welcome sign!
I made this sign for our art room but I think it would be perfect if the word "STUDIO" is changed to "GRAD"! The sign could be added to a table backdrop, photo backdrop or door.
Centerpieces:
If you have a feminine artist this floral centerpiece with paint brushes, babies breath inside of a paint can is a super cute idea!
If they are a digital artist you can print out some of their work and frame it with these frames and scatter them on the tables. They come in a 10 pack in either black or white.
These would be fun table runners! Leave markers on each table and let guests color them.
Food table signs:
This idea for a treat table sign is adorable! There are many companies on Etsy that would be able to make custom decals like these above to add to a wooden paint palette.
I love the idea from liketoknow.com of having these small canvases with easels explaining food items or you can use mini sketchbooks and place them like tent cards.
Backdrops:
I think this paint can idea would be perfect for either a photo backdrop or for behind a food table. If you don't want to use tulle you can purchase this curtain pack on Amazon.
Another option would be to use a curtain and have the grad take paint and splatter all over the curtain.
This banner on Etsy would be perfect for a backdrop sign. Just add 3" adhesive letters saying " 2024 GRAD" or "CONGRATS". You can just add them to a solid colored curtain for a more simple backdrop.
This as a backdrop from Flor Keeps would be an amazing idea. It could be done on a smaller scale of course.
Propping up a few giant DIY pencils near a backdrop would be amazing! Check out ginatepper.com for instructions on how to make yours.
Food:
I am loving this idea from karaspartyideas.com for beverages. She has a lot of other food ideas that are great!
Or these colorful, fun ideas from Party with Unicorns
These pencil cups are so fun. You can use them as straw holders like I did or for utensils.
