If you had a teen or tween who is into video games you have probably heard of the game Among Us. My daughter thought it would be so fun to have an Among Us themed birthday so of course, I complied…

LET’S START WITH DECOR: The game takes place on a spaceship. So of course, when the guest arrive they have to go to outer space. In order to make it look like they are entering space I hung a black fringe curtain behind a gold star curtain on the entryway doorframe as pictured. You can purchase both of these curtains on Amazon.

The guests were greeted with a sign saying, “You lookin’ kinda sus bro” Which is a phrase all the kids say since the game is about trying to find who is the suspect/imposter on the ship. As they excited they saw the back of the sign saying, “GAME OVER”

For another decoration I used a tablecloth from this space birthday kit as the backdrop for them to take pictures. Then attached the balloon garland that came in the kit on top. Don’t forget to get this balloon garland strip for the balloons. The teens all dressed up as a crew-mate from the game and took pictures in front of the backdrop.

TASKS: In the game the crew-mates must complete tasks. So my daughter made a few tasks like this one so her friends could compete to win!

TREAT TIME: Now let’s talk food. Since the game takes place in outer space, what better snacks than space themed? We picked up some moon pies and freeze dried ice cream. You can find the ice cream at Hobby Lobby for about $4 each, in the kid craft/toy section. I also put out colorful candy like Skittles, M&M and Trolli. And of course the drinks have to be colorful too. So I filled each dispenser with green and orange Hawaiian Punch.

Lastly, the cake! This year we decided on colorful cupcakes from the grocery store and added these fun toppers from Amazon.
